Summary:

Our client, a leading ethical energy consultancy for charities and not-for-profit organisations, is looking for a Sales Training & Development Manager to join their team. As the Sales Training & Development Manager, you’ll deliver impactful training, drive sales performance, and improve team capability across multiple UK offices. Regular UK travel is a key part of the role – you\’ll be hands-on in the field, coaching teams, gaining insight into local operations, and driving performance improvements. You’ll take ownership of structured induction programmes, collaborate with office managers, and implement tailored coaching plans to address underperformance. Key responsibilities:

  1. Develop and review the onboarding program by creating and implementing training materials and guides
  2. Standardise sales pitches, call structures, and KPIs to boost consistency and performance
  3. Design and deliver training for new products and processes in line with company goals
  4. Implement tailored coaching, probation targets, and QA frameworks
  5. Collaborate with managers on call monitoring, performance reviews, and regular touchpoints
  6. Ensure consistent performance tracking and development across all locations
  7. Foster a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages shared best practices

Skills and experience required:

  1. 3+ years’ experience in telesales or sales training, ideally in the energy or utility sector
  2. Proven track record of driving performance and meeting targets
  3. Experienced in developing onboarding programs, training guides, development plans, and QA monitoring aligned with industry standards
  4. Skilled in standardising sales pitches with strong telesales expertise
  5. Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and virtual training platforms
  6. Strong organisational and communication skills
  7. Experienced in managing priorities and adapting training to different learning styles
  8. Motivated, collaborative, and passionate about coaching and team development
  9. Full clean drivers licence
