Our client, a leading Carbon and Energy Consultancy, is looking for a Sales Support Administrator to join their team. As the Sales Support Administrator, you’ll support the business development and account management teams, ensuring operations run seamlessly, from maintaining an accurate CRM and preparing proposals to supporting client onboarding, profiling, generating sales reports and managing ad-hoc tasks. If you have sales support experience, ideally within an energy or carbon consultancy, energy broker, or supplier, along with strong attention to detail, excellent organisation and clear communication skills – apply today!
Key responsibilities:
- Work with the Account Managers to identify potential targets and profile sales opportunities.
- Accurately log customer information and opportunities into the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
- Research to gather market intelligence to identify potential leads.
- Prepare accurate, professional proposals.
- Help maintain the sales pipeline in CRM, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Participate in sales meetings and provide updates on project status and sales pipeline.
- Provide administrative support in the onboarding of new clients, including liaising with them via email and other channels.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather information for proposals and stay informed of new services and opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of CRM best practices and compliance requirements.
- Carry out general administrative and ad hoc duties to support the sales team as required.
- Provide support when required to the Senior Marketing Coordinator and marketing team with administrative tasks and following up with new leads from marketing campaigns.
- Informed on industry trends, competitors, market developments to identify growth opportunities.
Skills and experience required:
- Sales support administration experience from an energy/carbon consultancy, broker or supply.
- Great energy industry knowledge.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident in building and maintaining professional relationships in a B2B environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams; experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) is an advantage.
- A collaborative team player, adaptable and willing to learn.
- Highly analytical and numerate, with good time management skills.
