Location: Office based in Manchester - with occasional site visits

Salary: up to £45,000 + Van + Excellent Benefits

Our client, a UK based multi-utility infrastructure provider, is looking for a HSQE Advisor with utilities experience to join their team. Reporting to the HSQE Manager, you will be responsible for driving continual improvement in Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental practices across various sites and depots whilst developing best practice. If you've got experience in HSQE Advisory roles and auditing within utilities or construction, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of HSQE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Provide HSQE guidance and training to employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate HSQE records and produce reports for senior management.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders regarding HSQE matters.
  • Assist in audits and inspections, ensuring all findings are addressed effectively.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and awareness initiatives.

Experience

  • Previous HSQE experience essential.
  • Previous experience in Utilities - Essential.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of ISO management systems, including 9001, 14001 and 18001.
  • A NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent.
  • A full UK Driving Licence - Essential.
