Our client, a global leader in the transition to zero-carbon energy, is looking for a German-speaking Procurement Manager to join their team. In this role, you’ll deliver expert consulting on energy procurement across Europe which will include developing RFPs, performing market analysis, assessing pricing, recommending products, preparing budgets and managing renewable energy contracts. The ideal candidate will be fluent in German and either hold a degree in Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering, or have a strong track record in energy procurement. Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver energy procurement consulting services, including RFPs, market assessment, risk and strategy development, contract negotiation and management.
  • Manage renewable energy products, budgets, non-energy charges, and product recommendations.
  • Oversee energy supply contracts, verify site lists and pricing, support internal teams, and maintain accurate client reporting and databases.
  • Independently build and nurture strong relationships within client organisations.
  • Maintain and expand a strong network of energy suppliers and developers across Europe.
  • Use a confident, consultative approach to build trust and influence key stakeholders within client organisations.

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in energy procurement (retail buying or selling); utility billing knowledge is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in German is essential; additional European languages are highly desirable.
  • Proven client-facing experience, with direct interaction with customers or suppliers.
  • Strong project management abilities, with a track record of balancing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in developing and delivering impactful presentations.
  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business, or Engineering.
