Summary:
Our client, a leading energy solutions company, is looking for a BMS Engineer to join their team. As a BMS Engineer, you’ll work on Building Management System (BMS) upgrades and enhancement projects across commercial, education, healthcare, and government sites, helping to future-proof buildings and enable smart solutions. If you have strong experience with BMS systems, particularly Trend, and enjoy a hands-on role involving travelling to various sites, apply today!
Key responsibilities for the BMS Engineer:
- Installing, configuring, and commissioning BMS components such as sensors, controllers, actuators, and software systems.
- Carrying out scheduled maintenance and fault diagnostics on Trend systems.
- Identifying opportunities for system optimisation and performance improvements.
- Helping clients understand and maximise their systems.
- Quoting for additional work as needed.
- Working on-site across multiple locations, participating in a reactive call-out rota.
Skills and Experience required for the BMS Engineer:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of BMS / HVAC – Essential.
- Knowledge and experience with Trend / Siemens systems – Essential.
- Full UK driving licence – Essential.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams.
- Electrical qualification (City & Guilds / BTEC / NVQ Electrical) – Desirable.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience with fault finding in electrical panels.
- DBS vetting and potential BPSS vetting.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
