Our client, a leading utilities consultancy, is looking for a Relationship Manager (Waste) to join their team. As the Relationship Manager (Waste), you’ll play a key part in nurturing and growing relationships with existing clients, identifying new opportunities and building long lasting partnerships. You’ll work closely with partner suppliers to help deliver outstanding service and drive client retention and satisfaction within their waste management division.

Key responsibilities for the Relationship Manager:- Identify opportunities for strengthening and expanding client relationships across the UK
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs and ensure they receive high-quality service
- Be a trusted advisor, offering consultative support/guidance on waste management solutions
- Work with clients to identify waste management solutions and coordinate proposal development with internal teams
- Engage with clients to negotiate service terms, and manage contract renewals or extensions
- Understand industry trends and competitor activity to offer insights and competitive edge
- Attend industry events, networking and client meetings to explore new opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service delivery and high levels of client satisfaction
- Provide regular updates on client feedback, satisfaction levels, and areas for improvement
- Previous experience managing clients in the waste management industry
- Awareness of the challenges businesses face when managing waste services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to build connections with clients, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions
- Track record fostering client retention and driving growth through consistent service delivery
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple accounts while effectively prioritising tasks
- Collaborative mindset with a strong team ethic to support company-wide goals
- Able to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and open to adopting new technologies
- Able to travel occasionally between offices/client sites in Grantham and Leicester areas
- Full clean driver’s licence
