As part of the operations team, The Electrical Operations Manager will be responsible for effectively managing the electrical site operations team to install, commission and maintain a diverse range of LV & HV projects in line with Utility Line’s strategy.
You will also be responsible for supporting the Senior Management team in driving growth, process improvements and shaping operations. We are looking for an individual who has excellent leadership abilities, operational management skills and a deep understanding of the ICP/Electrical Utilities industry.

- Plan future works with the Electrical Site Supervisors, Projects Managers & Operations Team.
- Carry out audits, risk assessments and inspections of project sites, tools & equipment.
- Provide technical advice on cable installation, substation fitting and jointing activities.
- Ensure that all electricity network are installed in a safe and professional manner.
- Work closely with the QHSE department adhering to the compliance regulations.
- Conduct annual performance, training and developmental reviews for your department.
- Manage NCR reports received from DNO/IDNO’s and close-down accordingly.
- Line Management of SAP/AP’s to obtain all relevant paperwork for upcoming DNO/IDNO connections ensuring that all paperwork and outstanding issues are resolved before audit dates.
- Maintaining high levels of customer service and quality standards across all projects
- Assist in the renewal and application of accreditations including: NERS, CHAS, Safe Contractor, NICEIC & ISO to ensure requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Ongoing management of NERS & NICEIC accreditations alongside QHSE department & electrical supervisors.
- Attendance of operational meeting to update on electrical status of projects and team.
- Management of sub-contractors, ensuring that Utility Line’s approved electrical subcontractors and suppliers provide excellent quality of services.
- Lead and motivate the electrical team, monitoring performance, productivity and ensuring appropriate training, support and qualifications are maintained.
About you:
Do you have experience as a NERS Assessing or Authorising Officer?
Do you possess in depth knowledge of electrical safety regulations, including Electricity at Work regulations and relevant industry standards?

Utility Line are currently recruiting for an Electrical Operations Manager. This is an integral role to the Utility Line team, you will be directly responsible for ensuring that all electricity networks are installed in a safe and professional manner and to a high standard, in accordance with our 11Kv NERS accreditation, Utility Line management systems & safety methods statements – including IDNO/DNO manuals and technical guidelines.
