We\’re growing our Sales Enablement team and are looking for both a Sales Trainer or a Trainee Sales Trainer to help us empower our sales force and elevate results across the business.
As a Trainee Sales Trainer, you\’ll play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of sales training programs. Working alongside experienced trainers and sales leaders, you’ll gain hands-on experience in:
- Assisting with the creation of engaging, practical training content
- Supporting training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs
- Learning to analyse training needs and effectiveness
- Ensuring alignment with our sales strategy and company values
This is a development-focused role, ideal for someone with a background in energy sales or energy coaching who’s ready to grow into a full training position.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective induction training to new starters across business energy sales and systems
- Provide refresher and ongoing training sessions for current staff where necessary
- Support onboarding by ensuring all new team members are confident and competent in the company’s systems, processes, and industry knowledge
- Work closely with team leaders and management to identify training needs and skills gaps
- Monitor training outcomes and performance, adapting material where needed to improve impact
- Contribute to the development and documentation of training materials and guides
- Assist in the enhancement of the end-to-end customer journey through training and process improvement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the UK business energy market, including regulatory and industry changes

Essential:
- Previous experience within the UK energy sector (business gas and/or electricity but will also consider closely aligned utilities)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- Experience in sales training or working in a business energy sales environment, however this can be an ongoing development area for the right candidate
- Confident delivering structured training to individuals and groups
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple training streams
- Base salary £27,000 – £30,000 DOE
- Ongoing training and development including extensive 1:1 coaching and group sessions
