Starting salary: £26,208
You will join our award-winning apprenticeship programme that can offer you the chance to kick start a new career as a Dual Fuel Engineer. You will be working directly for Utilita, where you will gain fully funded Level 2 qualifications in Dual Fuel Smart Metering Installation and a Smart Metering Diploma in Dual Fuel. As well as gaining industry recognised qualifications, you will be Gas Safe registered and receive EUSR accreditation.
What is the Dual Fuel Engineer Apprenticeship?
Working in partnership with Cheshire College South & West you will complete your first 6 weeks with us on site, in our fully accredited training academy in Warrington followed by 4 weeks on campus at Cheshire College. Once your initial training is complete you will then work closely with your mentor in the field, this is where you will begin to put your new skills into practice whilst continuing to grow in confidence in your new career.
What can we offer you and how do you get there?
- Your starting salary during training will be £26,208. After achieving your electrical qualification this will rise to £31,208 (typically after 6 weeks).
- Once you achieve your gas qualification, your salary will increase to £34,240 (on average after 20 weeks).
- Your development journey doesn’t stop there, you will receive continuous support and coaching to become an integral part of the team.
- From week 20 you will start being scheduled your own jobs as you work towards being fully signed off where you can expect a salary of £38,993.

You will be committed to learning new skills that will be there for all to see, this will allow for you to grow into your new career and be a successful Dual Fuel Engineer here at Utilita. A full UK driving licence will be required for this role.
