The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchens during a busy programme of concerts, sporting events, conferences, exhibitions and live entertainment. Working as part of a fast-paced catering team, you will help maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene while supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver outstanding food experiences to our guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is looking to gain valuable experience within a busy hospitality and events operation.

The Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, crockery and glassware.
  • Ensure all kitchen and food preparation areas remain clean, organised and compliant with hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Complete thorough kitchen clean-down procedures following service to ensure the kitchen is ready for future operations.
  • Support chefs and kitchen teams with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties as required.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely and effectively, ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
