The Sales & Events Coordinator is a dynamic hybrid role responsible for driving event sales while ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of events. This position acts as the key point of contact for clients throughout the entire event lifecycle, from initial enquiry and sales conversion through to operational execution and post-event follow-up. The successful candidate will be commercially driven, highly organised, client-focused, and capable of managing multiple events simultaneously while delivering exceptional guest experiences and achieving revenue targets.

The Responsibilities

  • Drive event sales by responding to enquiries, conducting venue tours and client meetings, preparing tailored proposals and contracts, converting bookings, achieving sales targets, upselling services, and generating new business opportunities through networking and proactive sales activity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, agencies and local businesses, ensuring exceptional customer service and long‑term business growth.
  • Manage events from enquiry through to completion, coordinating all client requirements, preparing function sheets and operational briefs, liaising with internal departments, and ensuring all event details are effectively communicated.
  • Act as the lead client contact during events, overseeing event setup, delivery and breakdown, conducting pre‑ and post‑event checks, resolving issues, gathering feedback, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting evening and weekend events as required.
  • Maintain accurate CRM, booking and event records, manage invoicing and documentation, produce sales and event reports, monitor revenue and profitability performance, support administrative requirements, and ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards and licensing regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in sales, events, hospitality, conference services or venue coordination, with strong sales, negotiation and business development skills.
  • Excellent customer service, relationship‑building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational, time management and attention‑to‑detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, positive and solutions‑focused approach, remaining calm under pressure while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/event management systems, and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
