The Role

As our Ticketing Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering successful events at AO Arena. You will support promoters and organisers in bringing shows to market, managing the ticketing process end-to-end — from set-up and on-sale through to event completion and settlement. You will take full ownership of the ticketing function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a smooth customer journey. In addition, you will work closely with the Hospitality team to develop and deliver tailored event packages that enhance the overall experience for guests.

What we can offer:

  • Access to discounted tickets to unleash your superfan for all your favourites.
  • 25 days of annual leave.
  • Life Assurance policy.
  • A healthy contribution to a Pension.
  • Support for unexpected costs through Healthshield.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support mental health in the workplace.
  • Eye care vouchers and a contribution towards any glasses required.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Employee Referral Scheme.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting the ticketing team — assisting the department lead with objectives, projects, policies, and day-to-day management, while ensuring staff are trained, informed, and developed on AXS systems.
  • Owning event ticketing operations — building and managing event configurations on AXS and Ticketmaster, updating performances, controlling ticket printing, and maintaining accurate event information, audits, and inventory schedules.
  • Delivering accurate reporting and settlements — providing sales reports to venue management, benchmarking agent performance, authorising refunds, and preparing event statements for finance and promoters in line with company procedures.
  • Ensuring seamless customer and promoter service — staffing resolution points for walk-up sales, accessible seating, and enquiries, maintaining strong communication with agents, organisers, and internal departments, and being on duty for designated events.
  • Maximising event success through collaboration — working closely with Hospitality to price and package premium offerings and partnering with Event Marketing and Corporate Hospitality to drive ticket sales and enhance guest experiences.

You’ll have:

  • Proven ticketing and leadership experience in a management-level box office role, with a track record in ticket sales and team leadership.
  • Strong technical knowledge — hands-on experience with ticketing systems (AXS and Ticketmaster desirable) and proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills — written, telephone, and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer care.
  • Attention to detail and initiative — the ability to work accurately, independently, and with self-motivation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative relationship-building skills.
