You will be responsible for:
- Deliver world-class ice operations by maintaining the arena ice surface, hockey infrastructure and specialist equipment to the highest professional standards.
- Lead event conversions and production activity, ensuring seamless transitions between ice hockey, concerts and live entertainment events.
- Supervise and coordinate event crews and contractors, driving efficient delivery and exceptional operational standards across all events.
- Champion health, safety and compliance, promoting safe working practices and proactively managing operational risks across the venue.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the successful planning and delivery of hockey fixtures, live events and arena operations.
You will have:
- Hands-on experience in ice operations, with knowledge of refrigeration/chiller plant systems and maintaining a high-quality ice playing surface.
- A background in live events, venue or arena operations, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Experience leading and supervising operational teams, motivating others to deliver safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- A strong understanding of health & safety best practice, combined with excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities under pressure, supported by practical maintenance and fault-finding expertise.
Desirable Qualifications:
- IPAF, Forklift or other relevant operational qualifications.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience operating an ice resurfacer (full training on the venue-specific model will be provided).
- Working knowledge of AV systems, including audio and LED/Jumbotron displays.
