About the Role

To provide the highest standards of property custodial security services whilst providing good customer service to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide safe access and maintain a high level of customer service to all guests and visitors ensuring a polite and courteous manner is adopted, whilst sustaining a strict security policy to ensure that unidentified personnel cannot enter the facilities.
  • To patrol the facilities internally/externally on a regular, managed basis to ensure that the building is secure, undamaged, that all health and safety objectives are being met and any risks are reported to the Security Manager.
  • Ensure loan worker compliance, by utilising the company corporate radio network for predefined communications.
  • To monitor and operate the control room systems such as CCTV system, Raven system, lighting computer, intruder alarm, fire alarm and BMS system, manage day to day incidents recording details.
  • To maintain local communication through the venue radio and Raven systems.
  • Responsible for the receipt of goods and deliveries for the arena, ensuring that correct paperwork is obtained, and the relevant departments informed, whilst remaining vigilant in case of a suspect package.
  • To be fully conversant with the Company’s security and safety procedures and make decisions or referrals as appropriate.
  • To provide holiday cover for other security officers and carry out other duties as assigned.
  • To provide assistance to other departments as required.

We are looking for someone with:

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a similar security environment within the entertainment/leisure industry.
  • Familiarity with CCTV monitoring and communication systems.
  • Knowledge of how to monitor building and technical control systems.
  • Licensed under the SIA for Frontline.
  • Licensed under the SIA for CCTV or be prepared to work towards the qualification.
  • First Aid Trained.
  • Flexibility due to the operation of a rotating shift pattern.

Desirable:

  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to use judgement.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team and on their own.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge of SCaN and ACT products.
