About the Role The Kitchen Porter plays a vital support role within the kitchen team, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils, the Kitchen Porter helps to uphold hygiene standards and support smooth culinary operations. This role also assists with basic food preparation and deliveries, contributing to the overall success of the kitchen and the guest experience. Working closely with chefs and kitchen staff, the Kitchen Porter is essential in enabling the team to deliver high-quality service for all events and dining services within the venue.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all kitchen areas, floors, surfaces, and storage rooms are kept clean, hygienic, and organized in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils efficiently and promptly.
- Support the chefs with simple food prep tasks (e.g., peeling, chopping, assembling ingredients) as directed, particularly during busy service times.
- Help unload food and supply deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality, and ensure correct storage in accordance with stock rotation and food safety standards.
- Manage kitchen waste disposal, recycling, and rubbish removal regularly to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations, especially during busy events or service periods.
