CGC Event Caterers are recruiting for a Head Chef to take the reins at the York LNER Stadium — crafting unforgettable dining experiences for match days, VIP hospitality, and private events. With a busy end of 2025 in sight, and an even busier 2026 planned, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and driven team of Chefs and manage your own culinary venue. As Head Chef, you will also get the opportunity to work at a variety of our other venues and events.

Role Responsibilities:
- Lead kitchen operations at York LNER Stadium, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Support menu planning, preparation, and execution in line with client expectations and company standards.
- Ensure all CGC SOPs and guidelines are followed, including COSH and Health and Hygiene standards.
- Work with our Executive Head Chef and Chef Co-ordinator on the placement of other Chefs across the venue.
- Maintain and continue to strengthen relationships with the Stadium team and other key clients on site.
- Work with the Head of Food and Beverage to ensure the highest level of service is delivered for all events and match days.
- Manage kitchen budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships to maximise quality and profitability.
- Support operations across other CGC venues and events when required.
Person Specification:
- Previous Head Chef experience, ideally within outside catering, events, or banqueting.
- Comfortable with commuting to and from venues and events.
- A passionate and dedicated individual, with a great appetite to develop themselves and those around them.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 2 or above certification preferred).
- Full, clean driving license is preferred.
