Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor Godalming £72,500 + Car/Car Allowance   We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways Maintenance clients. The role will be based near Godalming and comes with a salary of £72,500 plus car/car allowance. Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor Administer and manage contracts effectively. Monitor and control workstream costs, process subcontractor liabilities and applications, and manage budgets. Prepare and submit valuations, payment applications, and final accounts. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the contract. Oversee procurement processes, including subcontractor and supplier negotiations. Generate regular financial reports and forecasts. Ensure all work aligns with relevant legislation, standards, and policies. Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders. Handle contract variations, pricing, and negotiations. Maintain precise and up-to-date records for the project. Manage and promote established processes and best practices. Foster a positive team environment and support staff morale.Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor A Quantity Surveying qualification or substantial experience in the field (formal qualifications not essential). Experience with cost management systems and the ability to learn relevant ordering systems. Knowledge of quantity surveying within highways or civil engineering. Understanding of Highways Maintenance (MCHW) measurement principles. Strong team player with the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
