The Company
Specialist in installing and maintaining UK Electrical Highways projects covering: Streetlighting, Fibre, EV Chargers, Civils, ICP/DNO works, Street Furniture & Signage!
As a rapidly growing business, no two days are ever the same, so your tasks will vary. The nature of the business and the pace of contracting means that priorities can change, so you need to be comfortable with variability.
The Role
As a Project Lead, you will assist in the planning and coordination of projects, acting as a key point of contact for clients, operatives, and management.
Your responsibilities will include attending sites to carry out compliance checks, organising work schedules while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and welfare for operatives. You will support the successful completion of projects within agreed timescales, budgets, and standards.
The Project Lead will be split between office and on-site coordination (most projects are across the Midlands, I can give you more details if you apply).
A Typical Week For The Project Lead
- Collaborating with the operations management team to coordinate daily resource organisation.
- Assisting in the planning and safe delivery of projects.
- Supporting Supervisors, Operatives & Field staff in their project delivery.
- Reviewing site records, compiling progress reports, and preparing information for the Commercial & Financial teams.
- Attending client meetings.
- Identifying additional work requirements and preparing information for the Commercial team.
- Writing and preparing Health & Safety documentation, ensuring procedures are implemented on site.
- Assisting with material take-offs, placing orders, and organising deliveries to sites.
- Managing document control, comparing latest revision drawings against tender documents, and submitting changes to the commercial team.
- Help conduct Toolbox Talks and Site Safety Audits.
- Participating in team development activities, including appraisals, pay reviews, and interviews.
About You
- Full UK driving license (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience in Highways / Fibre / Utilities / Civils / Street Lighting / DNO / ICP / Traffic Signs industries (ESSENTIAL)
- Leadership / Guiding / Supervisor experienced (ESSENTIAL)
- Great at prioritising effectively and able to handle multiple responsibilities and projects at once.
- A strong communicator who can build relationships with people at all levels.
