The predicted salary is between 36000 - 66000 £ per year.
We are currently seeking a HSE Advisor to join our Highways Engineering clients. The role will be based near Gloucester and comes with a salary of £55,000 plus car/car allowance.
Responsibilities for HSE Advisor:
- Ensure compliance with HS&E legislation health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Liaise effectively with the contract team and the internal HSE Management Team.
- Generate reports, identify necessary remedial actions, and support their implementation.
- Oversee contractor employees, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the contract and implement necessary improvements.
- Review, complete, and support the development of risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
- Conduct COSHH assessments and ensure the effectiveness of supply chain documentation.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety requirements.
- Verify the presence and maintenance of health and safety signage and protective measures.
- Monitor fire precautions to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee emergency preparedness procedures, ensuring their effectiveness.
- Ensure correct application of CDM Regulations where required.
Requirements for HSE Advisor:
- Proven experience providing health and safety guidance.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Experience and knowledge of Highways.
- NEBOSH qualification (mandatory).
- IOSH certification (desirable).
- Full UK Driving licence.
