The HGV Technician Role
- Service, repair, and maintain vehicles to DVSA/manufacturer standards
- Diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems
- Prep vehicles for MOT and complete all service documentation
- Respond to breakdowns and support off-site recovery
- Mentor apprentices and promote safe working practices
- Carry out preventative maintenance and keep accurate records
What You Need As a Successful HGV Technician
- HGV qualifications Parts 13 or equivalent
- Proven commercial vehicle maintenance experience
- Strong electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic knowledge
- Able to work independently in a physically demanding role
- HGV Class 2 licence desirable
