Our client, a specialist provider of electrical compliance services, is seeking an experienced Testing & Inspection Electrician to join their team on a mobile basis. This position involves working across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial sites, delivering high-quality testing, inspection, and remedial work with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), undertake remedial repairs, and complete minor installation tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring all work meets current regulations, producing accurate documentation, and maintaining a professional presence on client sites. Flexibility is essential, as some evening, night, and weekend work may be required, with enhanced overtime rates available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform EICRs across a range of commercial environments.
  • Identify faults, complete remedial repairs, and ensure systems are safe and compliant.
  • Carry out small installation works and minor electrical upgrades.
  • Produce method statements, risk assessments, and point-of-work assessments.
  • Record findings and job details accurately using mobile technology.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to minimise disruption and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Travel regionally and work varied hours, including nights and weekends when required.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection & Testing.
  • Demonstrable experience conducting EICRs and remedial works in commercial settings.
  • Up-to-date electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, ECS Gold Card).
  • Strong understanding of electrical regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to work unsociable hours and travel as needed.
  • Full UK driving licence; company vehicle provided.
