Contracts Manager

£61,000 – £68,000 plus car/car allowance

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Civil Engineering clients. The role will be based in Waltham Cross and covers schemes across London and the South East and comes with a salary between £61k -£68k plus car/car allowance.

Responsibilities for Contracts Manager

  • Lead civil engineering schemes from Early Design Involvement (EDI) through to completion- regeneration schemes, junction improvements, energy and rail
  • Play a strategic role in the planning and development phases of each scheme
  • Oversee site teams and supply chain partners, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution
  • Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team and clients to shape and influence project programmes during EDI
  • Manage contractual programmes and work closely with the commercial team to maintain accurate cost forecasting
  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching and structured training
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors to meet project milestones
  • Support the Operations Manager in identifying and securing future opportunities across the region

Requirements for Contracts Manager

  • Proven experience delivering multiple civil engineering schemes or leading a major highways project
  • A relevant qualification in civil engineering (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract frameworks
  • Full UK Driving Licence
