Contracts Manager
Waltham Cross
£61,000 – £68,000 plus car/car allowance
We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Civil Engineering clients. The role will be based in Waltham Cross and covers schemes across London and the South East and comes with a salary between £61k -£68k plus car/car allowance.
Responsibilities for Contracts Manager
- Lead civil engineering schemes from Early Design Involvement (EDI) through to completion- regeneration schemes, junction improvements, energy and rail
- Play a strategic role in the planning and development phases of each scheme
- Oversee site teams and supply chain partners, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution
- Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team and clients to shape and influence project programmes during EDI
- Manage contractual programmes and work closely with the commercial team to maintain accurate cost forecasting
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching and structured training
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors to meet project milestones
- Support the Operations Manager in identifying and securing future opportunities across the region
Requirements for Contracts Manager
- Proven experience delivering multiple civil engineering schemes or leading a major highways project
- A relevant qualification in civil engineering (preferred but not essential)
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract frameworks
- Full UK Driving Licence
