35,000 + Van & additional pay. Full Benefits Package (pension, fuel card, 25d holiday and opportunity to progress)! We are currently seeking a number of Fibre Splicers to work on behalf of our Client, a major Fibre and Civil Engineering Contractor.
Responsibilities for Fibre Splicer:
- Splicing and testing of external optical fibres to the end customer premise in line with quality standards using OTDR /ILM/PMD/CD/EXFO FTB200 or similar.
- Live network Fusion splicing.
- Installation of optical fibre cable, bundles and blown fibre tubing using fibre blowing equipment to required standards, including fault finding on existing network.
- Production of Fibre characterisation reports.
Requirements for Fibre Splicer:
- NRSWA street works Operative.
- Happy travel and staying away.
- Hold or have held Openreach overhead, underground or fibre accreditation modules. (they're flexible on accreditation as they’re happy to put you through any accreditation you require).
