Job Description
- Lead electrical panel testing, covering insulation resistance, secondary injection testing, and device configuration
- Manage and maintain the test area and contribute to scheduling and planning
- Develop and refine test documentation and protocols
- Coordinate all testing phases, including customer witness acceptance tests
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and client teams to deliver projects on time and to specification
- Proactively identify testing risks and implement effective controls
- Support project managers by monitoring progress and executing remedial actions when needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards
- Occasionally assist with commissioning at customer sites
Requirements for Test Engineer
- Strong background in electrical or systems engineering
- Previous testing experience in a related industry is an advantage
- Testing qualifications and accreditations are a bonus
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a curious, problem-solving attitude
- Familiarity with the power industry, particularly high-voltage transmission/distribution
- Advantageous knowledge of high-accuracy metering systems (e.g. CoP1, CoP2)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and project documentation
- Experience with SCADA, control systems, and communication protocols is a plus
- Background in switch/router programming and system integration beneficial
