We are currently seeking a Street Lighting Electrician to join our Highways Infrastructure clients.

Responsibilities for Street Lighting Electrician:

  • SWA electrical terminations into lighting column and feeder pillars.
  • Installation of secondary isolators into lighting columns.
  • Wiring and installing lanterns.
  • Testing and inspecting on street furniture and the completion of test certificates.
  • Conducting electrical surveys.
  • Cable pulling and cable jointing.
  • Assisting within the operational logistics of driving vehicles.
  • Liaising with clients and colleagues.
  • Carrying out risk assessments prior to starting any work.
  • Ensuring all installations are completed to the correct standard, deadline and budget.
  • Completing relevant documentation, paperwork and raising on-site issues.
  • Always wear correct PPE.
  • Keep vehicle clean and tidy.

Requirements for Street Lighting Electrician:

  • Happy working outside in a physically demanding role.
  • Working independently or as part of a team.
  • Electrical operative experience (Street Furniture is advantageous).
  • An excellent communicator.
  • Able to work nights and away from home.
  • Participate in all training provided for your role.
  • Committed to a high level of health and safety as per company policies and procedures.
  • CSCS/CPCS, ECS cards.
  • G39.
  • City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in electrical installations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Inspection and testing.
  • IPAF.
