  • Quality & Technical Assurance: Conduct rigorous design reviews, compliance checks, and value management assessments, incorporating modern techniques, sustainable materials, and buildability considerations.
  • Supply Chain & Stakeholder Management: Manage design consultants, contractors, and supply chain partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
  • Governance & Data Integrity: Monitor scheme delivery progress, maintain accurate asset data databases, and report on program milestones and risk mitigations.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, and network safety.

Key Requirements

  • Qualifications: Degree, HND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Status: Professional membership with a relevant engineering institution (ICE, IET, ILP), working toward or holding Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status.
  • Highways & Standards Expertise: Proven experience delivering highway lighting and electrical schemes, with a deep understanding of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards and CDM 2015 regulations.

  • Delivery & Governance: Demonstrable track record managing design consultants, contractor performance, and budget/program governance.
  • Driving License: Valid UK driving license (maximum of 3 points).

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: £55k + generous benefits package, with structured pay progression policies.
  • Impactful Work: Opportunity to influence critical infrastructure supporting millions of safe, reliable journeys.
