About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider working on a major highways contract covering the M25 and surrounding network. Due to continued workload and growth, there is a requirement for an engineer to support ongoing maintenance and fault response activities. This role involves working within a small, supportive team across both day and night shifts. Given the specialist nature of the systems involved, full on-the-job training will be provided, along with additional certifications such as manual handling, first aid, and MEWP training. All duties will be carried out across the strategic road network.
Key Duties
- Carry out installation and commissioning of highway technology systems
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspection activities
- Respond to faults, including diagnostics and repair
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, quality, environmental, and training standards
Candidate Profile
- Ability to work independently and use initiative effectively
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience within the highways or infrastructure sector
- Electrical qualifications such as NVQ in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
