Job Description

HIAB Driver – Street Lighting & Highway Technology ProjectsUp to £40k + 23 days holiday + bank hols, pension scheme, healthcare & Opportunities to progressHounslow / West London areaFull time, permanent positionJoin a dedicated team delivering essential street lighting and highways technology infrastructure projects!As a HIAB Driver, you’ll play a key role in safe, efficient installations across a range of local projects — blending practical skills with a strong team ethic. What You’ll Be Doing as the HIAB Driver:
  • Collaborating within a close-knit team to complete street lighting & highway technology installations
  • Following safety plans, risk assessments and method statements on site
  • Interpreting site plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks
  • Carrying out excavations, installations, and removals of lighting furniture
  • Recording materials, vehicle usage and plant status to maintain work schedules
  • Maintaining tools and machinery to operational safety standards
  • Liaising with site supervisors to ensure smooth project delivery

What We’re Looking For as a HIAB Driver:We value experience in the street lighting industry and strong coordination skills. To hit the ground running, you’ll need:

  • HGV Class 2 Licence (ESSENTIAL)
  • HIAB Qualification (ALLMI preferred)
  • Slinger / signaller ticket (preferred)
  • Completion of NRSWA Units 1–9 (desirable)
  • Training in Abrasive Wheels and First Aid (desirable)
