My Client is a leading company specializing in arboriculture and tree care services, committed to maintaining and enhancing green spaces across the UK. Their team of experts is dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and providing high-quality services to our clients.
You will be responsible for the supervision of the planting, maintaining, and caring for trees in various settings, including parks, residential areas, and commercial properties. Your role will involve ensuring the health and safety of trees, conducting assessments, and performing necessary tree care activities. The Leader will take responsibility for the gang, making sure PPE is worn and H&S is adhered to, including prioritising and delegating tasks to the team.
Key Responsibilities for Arborist Team Leader:- Conduct tree inspections and risk assessments to identify any issues
- Perform tree pruning, felling, and removal operations safely and efficiently
- Plant and transplant trees, ensuring proper care and maintenance
- Apply appropriate treatments to trees for disease and pest control
- Operate and maintain arborist equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and climbing gear
- Provide advice and recommendations to clients on tree care and management
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and meet client expectations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Driving license are essential
- Relevant qualifications in arboriculture (e.g., CS30/1, CS38, CS39, CS41, A06 Level 2 or 3 Arboriculture, NPTC certificates)
- Proven experience in arboriculture and tree care
- Knowledge of tree biology, pest and disease management, and tree pruning techniques
- Proficient in the use of arborist tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices related to arboriculture
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions
- Must be within a commutable distance to Burton-on-Trent.
