Job Description

Approved Electrician Short-Term Field Contract£28.00/hour Van, fuel card, PPE & test equipment provided3-month contract | 37 hours/week | Immediate StartWe're seeking an experienced and qualified Approved Electrician to support peak compliance works across educational, industrial, and utility sites in Southern Scotland. This role is field-based with daily travel from a central depot near Motherwell.Responsibilities for Approved Electrician
  • Conduct electrical inspection and testing in line with BS7671 standards
  • Perform emergency lighting and equipment testing
  • Carry out remedial work based on inspection findings
  • Work to predefined scopes and adhere to strict safety protocols
  • Travel daily to client sites using company-provided van

Requirements for Approved Electrician

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
  • 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • AM2 or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Basic DBS check (required)
  • Valid ECS Card
  • Experience working in commercial and industrial environments
  • Self-sufficient with strong problem-solving skills
