We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Football Coach to join our team for our weekend coaching classes based at Pro Soccer in Rouken Glen Park. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating and training players in the fundamentals of football, fostering a positive team environment, and promoting sportsmanship. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate athletes to achieve their personal and team goals. Successful candidates will be supported by the club.

Duties

  • Develop and implement training programmes that enhance players' skills and understanding of football.
  • Conduct regular practice sessions, focusing on both individual skill development and team strategies.
  • Assess players' performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and fair play.
  • Organise and oversee competitive matches, ensuring all players understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain open communication with players, parents, and other coaching staff regarding player progress and team dynamics.
  • Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and strategies in football.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in football.
  • Strong knowledge of football rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate players effectively.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate athletes of varying skill levels.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage practice schedules, game plans, and player development.
  • Certification in SFA Level 1.2 on the Children's pathway or working towards.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour

Licence/Certification: Driver's Licence (required), SFA Level 1.2 (required)
