Overview

Join our team as a Study Hall Monitor, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting student athletes! Working closely with the Supervisor, you will assist with checking students in and out, ensuring a focused and positive environment, and helping students access valuable campus resources. If you enjoy working with students and contributing to their success, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

Open and close the BDAC Study Lounge according to the designated schedule

Manage the check-in and check-out process for all student-athletes accessing the Library and Learning Center

Support the upkeep of a productive and welcoming learning environment within both the BDAC and LLC

Assist student-athletes in navigating university educational systems and platforms

Prepare and submit a detailed nightly report to the Supervisor, highlighting any concerns following each study hall session

Adhere to the established policies and procedures set forth by athletic and library staff

Maintain compliance with the Student Code of Conduct at all times

Collaborate regularly with supervisors and fellow monitors to ensure smooth operations and communication

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of at least 30 college credits (sophomore standing or higher)

Consistent academic performance with a minimum 3.5 GPA each semester and overall

Demonstrated responsibility, reliability, and punctuality in previous roles

Strong cultural sensitivity and proven ability to build positive relationships with a diverse student population

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous enrollment at Utah State University with familiarity of campus platforms such as Banner, Canvas, and MyUSU
