We are looking for dynamic, professional, and aspirational individuals willing to be part of a successful and collaborative team. You will work closely with colleagues in Jersey and Dubai to support our organic growth strategy.
The focus of this Financial Planner role is to help grow the business and support high net worth clients with the provision of holistic financial planning whilst delivering a first-class service to them.
The initial focus of the Financial Planning team will be on opportunities within the Crown Dependencies (both private clients and corporate); however, there is ample opportunity to develop the proposition to assist clients in overseas markets.
You\’ll be capable of growing our numbers of clients, both from referrals and new relationships, working closely with our existing Investment Management business, where appropriate. This could include attending events, being active in local business and communities, following up leads, explaining the Financial Planning team\’s services to potential new clients and developing relationships with professional connections.
Working closely with the Head of Advice, you will help to develop the growth plans of the region, contributing to the overall business plan, providing coaching and advice to members of the team and helping to develop new opportunities.
You\’ll absorb and assimilate the latest developments in financial services, the financial markets and economic trends and will provide input into our proposition, service, and colleague development initiatives.
Ensuring that all advice is provided within a strict ethical and compliance framework is essential, as is putting clients at the heart of our business.
Regulatory obligations
Our financial planner in Jersey must operate under a comprehensive regulatory framework governed primarily by the Jersey Financial Services Commission and it is essential that you stay current with Jersey\’s evolving requirements under the Investment Business Code of Practice and any relevant guidance that may be published by them from time to time.
About You

You\’ll have a strong level of technical and product knowledge and will be an expert in client relationships and service excellence.
Knowledge and awareness of the industry and developments is key, with business development and origination skills highly desirable. In addition, you will be experienced in compliance and risk management.
As a minimum, you must hold a level 4 Financial Planning Certificate. Desirable qualifications would include Securities Institute Investment Advice Certificate or the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate.
