General Statement of Duties: Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in giving patient care.
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
- Strong blood draw skills a must.
- Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
- Operates and manages lab equipment including start‑up, running controls & shut‑down as requested.
- Provides required reports.
- Experience with medical equipment and instruments used to administer patient care.
- Perform common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintaining records and recording test results.
- Develop and maintain department quality assurance.
- Maintain quality control standards.
- Must be able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Communicate clearly.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Helps with CT prep.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Performs related work as required.
Qualifications and Experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Professional demeanor and courteous attitude with emphasis on customer service.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
- Involves standing and walking.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires normal range visual acuity and hearing.
Education/ Training Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED.
- CNA/Medical Assistant School graduate from accredited school or two years of work experience recommended.
