Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a part‑time Sessional Welding Tutor and Assessor. This role is 22.5 hours per week on a fixed‑term contract, paid £35.01 per hour. The position will be based at the Slough & Langley College campus.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery, assessment and quality assurance of City & Guilds accredited welding qualifications in a practical workshop and classroom setting.
- Plan, prepare and deliver training programmes across welding processes including MMA, MIG/MAG, TIG and oxy‑acetylene.
- Embed and enforce industry‑standard health, safety and environmental practices.
- Monitor and support learner progression.
- Conduct weld inspections and testing to BS EN 4872 standards and maintain workshop operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain a high‑performing, supportive and safe learning environment based on college values.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant industry experience in welding and fabrication.
- Strong technical knowledge of welding engineering principles and engineering drawings.
- Experience with City & Guilds accreditation or similar qualification frameworks is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage a workshop environment.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills.
- Commitment to health, safety and safeguarding, including willingness to undertake enhanced DBS and Barred List checks.
