We're looking for an organised and proactive HR Assistant to provide high-quality administrative support across the employee lifecycle and day-to-day HR operations. The role reports to HR Manager. Part-time HR Assistant (22.5 hours over 3 days per week)

Key responsibilities:

  • Support employee lifecycle administration (starters, changes and leavers), maintaining accurate records in the HR system.
  • Prepare and issue HR documentation using approved templates (e.g., offer letters, contracts and starter documentation), under supervision as appropriate.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics including IT access requests, induction schedules and welcome packs.
  • Provide recruitment administration support, including posting vacancies, scheduling interviews, candidate communication and coordinating pre-employment checks.
  • Support HR reporting, trackers and audits (e.g., headcount, starters/leavers), ensuring GDPR-compliant handling and filing of employee data.
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the HR Manager.
  • Maintain accurate HR system records and support GDPR-compliant filing and data handling.
  • Produce and maintain HR trackers and standard reports (e.g., headcount, starters/leavers) and support audit activity when required.
  • Support HR meetings and internal communications.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience handling confidential information appropriately
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Basic understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle

Desirable:

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards
  • Experience using an HR Information System (e.g. PeopleHR)
  • Experience supporting recruitment administration
  • Experience working in a professional services or regulated environment
