This role requires strong problem-solving from first principles, challenging assumptions, and ensuring requirements align with true business objectives. You will operate across a broad stakeholder landscape, balancing competing priorities while maintaining delivery focus and ensuring demand is governed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and data analysis.
  • Challenge assumptions to ensure solutions address genuine business problems and deliver value.
  • Translate requirements into clear artefacts – user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data definitions.
  • Define scope, priorities, and MVP approaches; support backlog creation and refinement.
  • Map and optimise business processes (AS-IS / TO-BE), identifying risks, controls, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with risk, governance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations.
  • Support data analysis activities, including data sources, definitions, lineage, and quality considerations.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements, decisions, and change management.
  • Support testing and implementation, including UAT planning and validation of outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Business Analysis fundamentals (requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation).
  • Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguous or evolving requirements.
  • Experience with product delivery approaches, including Agile, MVP, and value-based prioritisation.
  • Working understanding of financial services environments and operational processes.
  • Awareness of risk, governance, legal, and compliance considerations.
  • Understanding of corporate data concepts (ownership, quality, access, usage).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, global delivery environments.
  • Experience in asset/wealth management, private markets, or similar financial environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence) and BA artefacts (user stories, BPMN, Visio).
  • Basic exposure to data analysis tools (Excel, SQL).

Key Behaviours

  • Curious, structured, and outcome-driven.
  • Confident in challenging stakeholders constructively.
  • Pragmatic and delivery-focused, balancing speed and governance.
  • Collaborative, transparent, and dependable.

We Welcome Profiles With:

  • Experience in financial services or corporate environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to push back constructively.
  • Ability to navigate competing priorities and manage demand through governance.
  • Strong requirements capture combined with deeper problem definition and value assessment.
