Product Owner
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Product Owner combines strategic oversight with technical understanding to ensure that digital tracking and analytics implementations align with business goals.
About the role
Working within the online team, as a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving digital roadmaps to support our Digital Marketing team and their future growth. From defining MVPs and user stories, to commercially detailing project success metrics and KPIs before go live.
A critical role within the business supporting the capturing and defining of technical requirements, working with both marketing and technology teams translating requirements into Systems deliverables for tagging, performance and Martech initiatives for the UK, International and the Total Platform
Key responsibilities
- Define Tracking Strategy Align GTM implementation with business KPIs and digital marketing goals.
- Ensure tracking supports analytics, conversion optimization, and user behavior insights. Manage Tagging Requirements Gather and prioritize tagging needs from stakeholders (marketing, analytics, compliance).
- Translate business requirements into clear tagging specifications. Oversee Tag Governance Maintain a clean and organized GTM container.
- Ensure tags are properly documented, versioned, and compliant with privacy regulations. Coordinate with Developers & Analysts Work closely with technical teams to implement and test tags, triggers, and variables.
- Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot issues using GTM’s Preview mode. Ensure Privacy Compliance Integrate consent management tools and ensure tags respect user privacy preferences (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Monitor & Optimize Continuously review tag performance and data quality. Recommend improvements to enhance tracking efficiency and business insights.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of GTM Tags, triggers, variables, data layer, and debugging tools.
- Analytics Knowledge Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), conversion tracking, and event-based data collection.
- Experience working with Facebook CAPI
- Project Management Agile methodologies, backlog prioritization, stakeholder communication.
- Privacy & Compliance Awareness Understanding of data protection laws and consent frameworks.
- Communication & Collaboration Ability to bridge gaps between marketing, development, and analytics teams.
