Salesforce OMS Architect Nottingham (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite). Contract (Inside IR35) or Fixed‑Term Employment. We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Order Management System (OMS) Architect to design and lead end‑to‑end order management solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This is a highly strategic and hands‑on role, focused on delivering scalable, resilient, and high‑performance order orchestration capabilities that support modern, omni‑channel commerce.
Role Description
- Act as the technical authority for OMS, shaping solution design, guiding implementation, and ensuring seamless integration across the wider commerce and fulfilment ecosystem.
- Architect and lead the delivery of Salesforce OMS solutions across the full order lifecycle.
- Design and implement complex order flows including order orchestration, fulfilment, returns, cancellations, and exceptions.
- Configure advanced OMS capabilities such as distributed order management, inventory visibility, sourcing, and routing logic.
- Integrate Salesforce OMS with ERP, WMS, CRM, and payment platforms, ensuring real‑time data synchronisation and resilience.
- Design solutions for complex commerce scenarios including split shipments, backorders, partial fulfilment, and multi‑location inventory.
- Lead solution design workshops with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams, translating requirements into robust technical designs.
- Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and availability of order processing platforms at enterprise scale.
- Diagnose and resolve critical production issues, driving root‑cause analysis and permanent fixes.
- Provide technical leadership through code, configuration, and design reviews.
- Mentor junior team members and uplift OMS delivery capability across the organisation.
- Define and enforce best practices, governance, and documentation standards for OMS implementations.
