We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to play a key role in shaping enterprise data architecture and enabling large-scale data transformation initiatives. In this role, you will lead the design and optimisation of data models that support modern data platforms, analytics, and cloud-based environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, scalable, and high-performance data solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions.
  • Develop and implement dimensional models including Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault, and Canonical Data Models.
  • Design scalable data models across relational, cloud, and big data environments.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to define data standards, governance, and modeling strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
  • Review and optimise existing data models for performance, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive best practices across normalisation, denormalisation, and data architecture standards.
  • Lead data model reviews, design governance, and mentoring of junior team members.
  • Establish enterprise-wide conventions, standards, and reusable data modelling frameworks.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in enterprise data modeling and data architecture within large-scale environments.
  • Strong expertise in dimensional modeling techniques and modern data design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin Data Modeler, or PowerDesigner.
  • Proven experience working with cloud data platforms including Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, and modern data warehouse solutions.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, master data management (MDM), and metadata frameworks.
  • Experience in data lineage, reference data management, and data quality practices.
  • Strong capability in performance optimisation and scalable data architecture design.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data modernisation and cloud migration programmes.
