Location: London, UK – Hybrid, 3 days work from client office

Employment Type: FTC / Contract inside IR35

Duration: Until 31st Dec 2026 initially to start with possible extensions

Immediate Candidates: 15 days notice period only preferred

Experience range: 12+ years of relevant experience in the BFSI domain

Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly analytical and delivery-focused Business Analyst who can simplify ambiguity and translate complex business needs into clear, actionable outcomes. This role requires strong problem‐solving from first principles, challenging assumptions, and ensuring requirements align with true business objectives. You will operate across a broad stakeholder landscape, balancing competing priorities while maintaining delivery focus and ensuring demand is governed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and data analysis.
  • Challenge assumptions to ensure solutions address genuine business problems and deliver value.
  • Translate requirements into clear artefacts – user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data definitions.
  • Define scope, priorities, and MVP approaches; support backlog creation and refinement.
  • Map and optimise business processes (AS-IS / TO-BE), identifying risks, controls, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with risk, governance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations.
  • Support data analysis activities, including data sources, definitions, lineage, and quality considerations.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements, decisions, and change management.
  • Support testing and implementation, including UAT planning and validation of outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Business Analysis fundamentals (requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation).
  • Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguous or evolving requirements.
  • Experience with product delivery approaches, including Agile, MVP, and value-based prioritisation.
  • Working understanding of financial services environments and operational processes.
  • Awareness of risk, governance, legal, and compliance considerations.
  • Understanding of corporate data concepts (ownership, quality, access, usage).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in cross‐functional, global delivery environments.
  • Experience in asset/wealth management, private markets, or similar financial environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence) and BA artefacts (user stories, BPMN, Visio).
  • Basic exposure to data analysis tools (Excel, SQL).
