The IT Infrastructure Delivery Director will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a highly complex, large-scale IT infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in delivering IT infrastructure services in a Managed Services environment, with a deep understanding of cloud technologies (primarily Azure), datacentres, networks, end-user computing, IT Service Management (ITSM), and service desks. This role requires a strategic leader who excels in driving operational excellence, managing large teams, overseeing complex transitions, and managing both customer and financial outcomes.
As the IT Infrastructure Delivery Director, you will work closely with the senior leadership of both UST and the clients to ensure the seamless delivery of IT infrastructure services. You will be accountable for the overall success of the delivery, including managing timelines, budgets, risks, quality, and client satisfaction.
The Opportunity:
- Delivery Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the IT infrastructure services program, ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing operation of services across datacentres, cloud (primarily Azure), networks, end-user computing, service desks, and ITSM.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse, global team of 100+ resources across various functional areas (cloud, datacentre, network, service desk, etc.), ensuring team alignment and effective execution of service delivery.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client’s senior leadership, ensuring that the client’s strategic objectives are met and that services are delivered in accordance with expectations. Proactively manage and nurture the relationship to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify and manage delivery risks and issues, ensuring that they are mitigated or escalated as necessary. Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure service continuity and mitigate impact to the client.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the financial health of the program, including P&L, budgeting, and forecasting. Ensure that delivery costs are controlled, and that the program meets its financial objectives. Provide regular financial updates and reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure that the program adheres to best practices in IT infrastructure management, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, scalability, and quality. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Stakeholder Communication: Develop and present detailed progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives. Maintain transparent communication and manage expectations effectively.
- People Management and Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture. Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, supporting career growth and professional development across the team.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with UST’s internal functional teams, including sales, solutioning, and technology teams, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of services across multiple regions.
What you need:
- At least fifteen years of experience in IT infrastructure services delivery, managing large, complex IT services engagements including digital workplace services, cloud services (Azure), network services, and end-user computing.
- Experience of Banking, Financial Services or Insurance sector.
- Current or previous System integrator experience essential.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills, ability to inspire, motivate, and align global teams toward a common vision.
- Customer Management: Excellent experience engaging at senior executive levels.
- Risk & Financial Management: Expertise in managing program risks, mitigating issues, and overseeing financial aspects of a large program (P&L, budgeting, and forecasting).
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to navigate challenges in complex, multi-faceted delivery environments.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and operational thinking with the ability to align delivery with business objectives and customer needs.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and how they can be applied to IT infrastructure delivery.
