We are looking for a highly analytical and business-focused Business Data Analyst to support data-driven transformation initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business and technology, working closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights, scalable solutions, and high-quality data-driven outcomes. You will play a key role in enabling better decision-making through robust analysis, reporting, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyse, and document business and data requirements.
- Translate complex requirements into functional specifications, user stories, data mappings, and reporting definitions.
- Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Support the design and delivery of analytics solutions and enterprise data platforms.
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, and QA teams to support data integration, testing, and UAT activities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Conduct gap analysis, root cause analysis, and trend analysis to provide actionable business insights.
- Contribute to data governance, data quality, and data lineage initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture, standards, and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience working as a Business Data Analyst in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven transformation programmes.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical and analytical solutions.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and modern data warehouses.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance frameworks.
- Experience building insightful dashboards and reports to support decision-making.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
