We are looking for an experienced AWS Platform Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure cloud platforms with a strong focus on AI enablement and data engineering.
Location: London / Nottingham
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement AWS reference architecture covering services such as AWS Glue, S3, IAM, networking.
- Design and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-optimized data solutions.
- Enable and manage workflow orchestration platforms (e.g., Apache Airflow / MWAA).
- Develop and standardize CI/CD pipelines for both application and AI workflows.
- Establish best practices for Infrastructure-as-Code, Observability (CloudWatch, logging), Security and access management (IAM, KMS, policies).
- Support and enable AI execution environments, including compute, APIs, and integrations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with AWS services: Glue, S3, MWAA, EMR, IAM.
- Expertise in platform engineering and cloud architecture.
- Experience with Airflow orchestration.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Experience enabling or supporting AI/ML platforms and APIs.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in data modeling and transformation logic.
- Exposure to modern AI platforms (e.g., Claude API).
