Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of PMG's Responsible Investment strategy in line with USS Responsible Investment Strategy and Priorities (Climate, Nature, People, Governance).
  • Support the development and maintenance of total portfolio RI materiality analytics and frameworks (SASB materiality, climate physical risk, nature risk).
  • Support thematic research projects focused on investment idea generation at total PMG portfolio level.
  • Support the development and maintenance of PMG RI frameworks, tools and templates for investment due diligence and asset management purposes.
  • Act as point of contact and source of knowledge for PMG RI on investment due diligence, ensuring consistency and appropriate escalation of material RI issues.
  • Support RI engagement with external fund managers and delivery of ILPA aligned manager assessments.
  • Support RI forums including the PMG RI Working Group and the RI Portfolio Review Committees across Property, Direct Equity, Credit and Funds.
  • Support PMG RI inputs into USS-level reporting (TCFD Reporting, Stewardship Reporting, investment case studies).
  • Support PMG RI communication with internal stakeholders (USS RI, Investment Product Management, Investment Committees and Boards).
  • Support the PMG inputs into the annual GHG Emission Footprint.

Qualifications

  • Experience in responsible investment, ESG, sustainability within asset management, asset owner or consulting background. Experience within private markets is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Good research and analytical skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and delivery focused approach aligned with USS and PMG values.
  • Passion for sustainability and making a measurable difference for our members in the long run.
