About the role
In your role as USSIM Audit Manager, you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to lead and manage audit engagements that provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve USS’s operations. The Audit Manager helps USS accomplish its objectives by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This is an exciting position within an established team offering a breadth of exposure to all levels of management, including Executive and Non-Executive Directors, across the Investment and Group Functions segments.

To be successful in the role you will have:
- ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
- Relevant audit experience operating in the investment management sector.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and regulatory expectations.
- Experience of internal audit, external audit, risk management or compliance monitoring roles.
- Strong understanding of investment management operations and regulations (e.g., FCA, MiFID II).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with strong report writing and presentation abilities.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- Inquisitive with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
