We are seeking a reliable and confident Senior Exam Invigilator to oversee the smooth and secure running of external written and online examinations. This important role ensures exams are conducted in strict accordance with Awarding Body regulations and College policies, helping us uphold the highest standards of integrity and fairness.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the supervision and direction of invigilation staff within the main examination halls.
- Prepare exam rooms in line with examination board requirements, including setting out desks, distributing papers and stationery, or setting up laptops for online assessments.
- Deliver official announcements, special instructions and erratum notices to candidates.
- Check and verify student identification and complete registers, attendance records, late arrival logs and other required documentation.
- Maintain a calm, alert presence throughout examinations to prevent malpractice and support candidates who may be stressed, unwell or require additional assistance.
- Clear and collect all examination materials at the end of each session and return them to the Examinations Office.
- Support additional duties where required, including supervision of small groups during breaks for candidates with exam clashes, and assisting with the checking, sorting or packing of completed scripts.
