Pop these mini-projects on platforms like Behance or Dribbble to showcase your skills.
✨Join Design Communities
Engage with local or online UX/UI design communities, such as UX events or workshops. They can be fantastic for networking and finding part-time gigs! Attend meetups, contribute to discussions, or share your insights — this can put you on the radar of companies looking for fresh talent.

Some tips for your application 🫡
Show Off Your Design Skills:When you're applying for a part-time UX/UI Design role at UserTesting, make sure to showcase your design prowess. Include a link to your portfolio that highlights your best work—think wireframes, prototypes, and case studies. This is your chance to visually communicate your design thinking and problem-solving skills!
Tailor Your CV to UX/UI:Your CV should be more than just a list of jobs; it should tell the story of your design journey. Focus on relevant skills like user research, typography, and prototyping tools like Figma or Sketch. Don’t forget to mention any courses or certifications in design thinking or usability; they really make a difference!
Craft a Purposeful Cover Letter:With part-time roles, companies often look for commitment and passion. In your cover letter, let UserTesting know why you're excited about the opportunity and how it fits into your career goals. How to prepare for a job interview at UserTesting
✨Show off Your Design Portfolio
For a UX/UI design role, your portfolio is like your calling card. Make sure you bring a well-organised set showcasing your best work, along with the process behind each project. Talk us through not just the final designs, but the research and user testing that influenced your choices.
✨Prepare for Design Challenges
Part-time roles in UX/UI often include a design challenge or case study to see your thought process in action.
