The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our Product Team and help shape how we use data to drive decisions, uncover opportunities, and enhance experiences across our platform. In this role, you\’ll collaborate with product managers, researchers, designers, and engineers to explore behavioral patterns, validate hypotheses through modeling, and turn insights into meaningful actions that make an impact.
You’ll play a key part in improving both sides of our marketplace—enhancing the experience for contributors and customers alike—while helping define and drive data-informed strategy.
The Team
You’ll join a multidisciplinary Product Team made up of product managers, designers, engineers, and researchers, working in close partnership across regions. This team is focused on building data-driven solutions that support both the demand and supply sides of our marketplace. We work remotely and flexibly, with a strong focus on collaboration, experimentation, and growth.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s curious, impact-oriented, and excited to solve marketplace challenges through data. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Extensive experience in product analysis, ideally within marketplace products
- Deep understanding of supply-demand dynamics and platform optimization
- A strong track record of using data to influence product strategy and outcomes
- Comfort working with large datasets and deriving behavioral insights
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of statistical techniques, experimentation, and machine learning
- Advanced SQL proficiency, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries
- Experience with DBT or similar tools for dimensional data modeling
- Familiarity with Snowflake (or comparable) cloud data warehousing environments
- Ability to develop compelling data visualizations using tools like Tableau
Bonus if you have experience with Python, fraud detection, A/B testing methodologies, or AI tools that enhance your workflow.
Don’t meet every single requirement but excited about the role?
We encourage you to apply! Research shows that underrepresented groups often don’t apply unless they meet 100% of the criteria—we believe in the value of diverse perspectives and are committed to building a team that reflects a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skills.
