The role requires travel to Birmingham 4 to 5 days a week and an immediate start, ideally in May/June 2025 . A chance to work with a leading digital transformation business delivering large-scale, long-term IT projects for the public sector. Key Skills & Experience Experience with AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, EFS, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) with a focus on cloud security. Provisioning infrastructure using Terraform and VMs with tools such as Vagrant. Experience in a 24×7 uptime AWS environment with automation and configuration management tools. Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Java) and automation experience. Knowledge of Jenkins and pipelines using Groovy. Experience with Docker containers and Amazon Linux 2023 AMI. Experience with system monitoring tools (Grafana, Alert Manager, Prometheus, Node exporter). Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow for incident and change management. Active SC Clearance & NPPV3 are required. Desired Skills & Experience Hands-on DevOps delivery experience in government or digital projects. Linux system administration, building, hardening, and managing Linux OS. Experience with MS Active Directory, firewall, switch configuration, and understanding network topologies and protocols.
